About Cobalt Cleaning

Built on real experience. Built to make cleaning easier.

Cobalt Cleaning did not start in a boardroom. It started with a mop, a bucket, and a problem that needed solving. What we do today is built on years of real cleaning work, real customers and real lessons learned on the job.

Who we are

We are building more than a cleaning company. Cobalt is becoming a practical cleaning hub for customers, cleaners and business owners who want clearer services, better tools and more trustworthy support.

What matters to us

Useful advice. Honest expectations. Better systems. Real-world experience. And cleaning that feels professional, reliable and easier to deal with.

The beginning

How it started

Our story began in April 2012, after several years working in real estate and regularly helping property managers deal with cleaning issues — including fixing jobs that had not been done properly.

One problem kept coming up. Owners and property managers needed cleaners who would actually show up, do what they promised, and know how to clean properly. Cleaners, on the other hand, needed a reliable way to find good customers and build sustainable businesses.

That was the gap Cobalt started from: better cleaning outcomes for customers, and better business support for cleaners.
Real experience

More than fourteen years of real cleaning work

More than 14 years later, we are still cleaning, still learning, and still doing the kind of work that matters.

The advice, training and resources we are building now come from real experience — not theory. They come from someone who cleaned years ago and still works with real customers in real homes and businesses, dealing with the same challenges cleaners and clients face today.

Residential

Residential cleaning that feels different

We have spent years looking after people’s homes — kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, bedrooms, living areas, floors, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, surfaces and all the little finishing touches that make a difference.

But residential cleaning is not simply about removing dirt. We want our customers to walk through their front door and feel that hotel-like experience: clean bathrooms, fresh rooms, tidy surfaces and a home that feels ready to enjoy.

Workplaces

Medical, office and workplace experience

We also have experience cleaning medical practices and clinic environments, where cleanliness is not only about presentation. These spaces often require different methods, more care, and a stronger sense of responsibility.

In offices and workplaces, break rooms, desks, bathrooms and shared surfaces need regular attention too. Good cleaning practices help spaces look better, feel better and work better for the people using them.

Property handover

Vacate and end-of-lease work

Vacate cleaning is another area where we have gained considerable experience, and it is very different from general cleaning.

When tenants move out, we have carried out detailed work to help return a property, from a cleanliness perspective, as close as reasonably possible to the condition it was in at the beginning of the lease.

Our real-estate background gave us a strong understanding of what matters at handover — kitchens, bathrooms, marks, windows, carpets and all the details that suddenly matter.

Business reality

The business side matters too

Cleaning is only half of running a cleaning business.

We have also had to learn how to price jobs, buy chemicals and equipment, manage schedules, communicate with customers, handle difficult situations, keep long-term clients, and decide when a job simply is not worth taking.

We have bought tools that saved enormous amounts of time and others that sounded great but did not work particularly well in the real world. We have made mistakes. And we have learned from them.

A new chapter for Cobalt Cleaning

In 2026, Cobalt Cleaning began its next chapter as an independent business. We are now building a cleaning hub designed to bring customers, cleaners, tools, products, advice and resources together in one place.

Whether you need a cleaner, want to work as one, or are building a cleaning business of your own, we want to help you understand what you actually need and where to start.
